Auberge Aftass: First Hotel in Sidi Kaouki

Originally named “Chez Omar” in the beginning of the adventure, Auberge Aftass was built by Mohammed Bate in 1987, it is the first Hotel and restaurant in Sidi Kaouki village. In 1989, it is his son, Moulay Omar who becomes the owner and starts developing the Hotel in an authentic Berber architectural style, and promoting his native village around the world.

Today, with the new generation, we are working on renovating the place, but we are also making sure to preserve the authenticity and the identity of the place. Discover here the origins of “Chez Omar”, and Auberge Aftass Today.
